Dr. Sucheski is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a special interest in cataract and refractive surgery, including LASIK. He attended Pennsylvania State University, on a University Scholars Scholarship and graduated first in his major with highest distinction. He completed medical school at the Pennsylvania State University, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in his hometown of Hershey, where he was president of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his residency at the Wills Eye Hospital, where he served as chief resident.
He became the first surgeon to perform LASIK at the Wills Eye Surgical Center in Bucks County and performed thousands of successful laser vision correction (LASIK and PRK) surgeries . He has become one of Wills Eye’s most experienced and accomplished LASIK surgeons, and has instructed other area Wills’ surgeons during their first LASIK surgeries. He now performs most of his LASIK surgeries in his Chalfont location for patient convenience. He also is an active instructor for teaching residents eye surgery at Wills in Philadelphia.
Both Dr. Sucheski and his wife believe in the safety of laser vision correction enough to have had LASIK and PRK. In fact, Dr. Sucheski has performed LASIK on many family and friends, including his brother, sister-in-law, and wife. He also is very proficient in cataract surgery, offering small incision, no stitch modern phacoemulsification surgery. He implants modern aspheric lenses or premium lenses in all of his patients to provide them the highest quality vision feasible.
Dr. Sucheski was named a LaserVision Gold Surgeon. GOLD Surgeons are known as leaders in the laser vision correction industry.
Dr. Walker is a board-certified ophthalmologist, with additional fellowship-training in the subspecialty of glaucoma. Dr. Walker graduated with honors from the University of Michigan. She attended medical school at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where she was elected to the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. She also received her Ophthalmology training at Washington University and Barnes Hospital, rated one of U.S. News & World Reports' Top 10 Ophthalmology programs. Following her residency training, she received the distinction of serving as Chief Resident and Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Barnes Hospital.
After moving East, Dr. Walker completed a year-long fellowship program in the field of glaucoma at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Walker is a diplomat, fellow and board-examiner of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO). In her capacity as Board Examiner, Dr. Walker is responsible for ensuring that her peers have the necessary qualifications to become practicing ophthalmologists. In 2001 she was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.), an honor bestowed on experienced surgeons by their peers. She is one of only a few surgeons who perform glaucoma surgery in Bucks & Montgomery Counties. Like Dr. Sucheski, she is very proficient in modern cataract surgery, offering small-incision, no-stitch procedures with premium intraocular lenses to ensure her patients the best post-operative results available. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Bucks County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired . She is married and has 3 children. During her free-time, Dr. Walker enjoys being a “soccer and cross-country” mom! Both Dr. Walker and her husband have had refractive surgery.
